  • This was not what I intended to post today, but it seems like people are more interested in archetypes than the color personality (mood) test so I’m posting my result. I don’t think the results are but perhaps 50% on target but I am focusing on being more spontaneous. In fact, that has been one of the goals I expressed to the group i meet with each week. Hey, maybe I’m making some progress.

    The Catapult test site
Handy in the real world manipulation of objects and events, this personality type is easily enthused by practical projects. Once gaining the interest of the Catapult, a project will be quickly and sometimes manically dealt with. That energy however will be invisible to those not witness to it. Abrupt is a watchword of this personality.

Spontaneity is important to the Catapult because it never quite knows when inspiration will hit. Because of this, it often ignores or conveniently forgets rules and boundaries that limit its freedom. This need for freedom extends even to the personal sphere and though this personality is kind and gentle, it will often be hard to pin down to a monogamous lifestyle. When discussing their need for freedom, the Catapult will most often resort to non-verbal means to express itself.

Thought I might share another sky photo. Sunrise at Myrtle Point at Mt. LeConte. Spring/04

  • I am so glad that you liked “Garden State.” I knew that you would. I liked the A. Huxley part too. That was funny. What did your daughter think? I’ll let you know what veggie I pick.

  • Wow. I read this after emailing you. How apt!

  • My archetype is The Sunset.  Like you, I feel it is only about 50% correct.  Says I should be musical and athletic.  The athletic part is 100% wrong!  But some of it sounds right.  Others might see me differently than I see myself.

Yes, we are WELS.  What a surprise to see someone else here.  There aren’t that many outside of WI!  And the college is Martin Luther College in New Ulm.  Our second oldest grandson started there last year, but he did too much socializing and not enough studying.  Was asked not to come back the second semester.  He was devastated. Took responsibility for his actions. Good kid, though.  He wants to go back and try again.  Wants to be a high school science teacher and coach.

The sunrise photo is gorgeous.  I feel such contentment when I see a beautiful sunset. (Not usually up early enought for the sunrise!!)

  • Yes, both clematis plants are the same–planted just 3 ft. apart.  If I had known they could be difficult to grow, I would have bought something different.  Will see what happens next year.

  • cool photo

  • So my archtype made no sense at all in fitting my personality. Wierd. By the way I LOVE the photo! It reminds me of a winter sunset…I’m not sure why.
