What a great shot, Bill! I wonder if it might be a pheasant, or a type of grouse?
It could be a small grouse but because I was in AZ I am not up to speed an their types of birds (and too lazy to look it up).
I don’t know about the type of bird, but that photo caught a unique angle, and I love it!
Glad you like it. I do wish it had more direct light on the bird. The sun was behind and made a shadow.
Wow! That is one great action photo!!
Actually taken with an older iPhone
Cool capture! Love the bird in motion!
I have no clue what kind of bird…I was thinking hawk, but then I was thinking not a hawk…I’m so confused!
HUGS!!!
Howdy, the bird looks larger in the photo than it is because I was pretty close to it.
wow you are fast on the snapping or did it just scare you so much you squeezed the button? LOL
My dog went in the reeds and came out with a mother bird chasing her.
Actually the bird was at the botanical garden and the bird was perched until just as I snapped the photo.
Could it be an owl? Neat picture Bill.
RYC: In MY world, every day IS hugging day! Thanks for all the hugs, SweetB.!!!
That’s a fantastic picture!! Thanks for sharing it.
Love the bird picture. Can’t wait till the nicer weather to get outside more. I think cabin fever is setting in.
RYC – I’ve never been to Boston. That’s the home of the first real tea party. I really should visit! My daughter and friend visited once, many years ago and their opinion was that the people were snobs. At the time they were only 16 so maybe it was partly them?
I like that bird in flight out of the grass–looks good to me !
