  • A Man in a Nun’s Habit riding a Red Bicycle.

Now this is not something I see every day.  Perhaps the people of Asheville, NC do.  I snapped a pretty bad Iphone pic to share here.

Today’s random poetry style #npm 5 is Fibonacci poetry is a 6-line (or more) poem that follows the Fibonacci sequence for syllable count per line.  In this case, syllables per line are 1,1, 3, 5, 8, 13

    a display to see

    strollers wide-eyed in amazement

red streamers in the wind to mock the Vatican

  • The Cowardice of the National Rifle Association

    NRA ‘s cowardice

    is showing

    as they hide

    behind a fortress

    waving a faded

    second amendment flag

    afraid to come forth

    and discuss issues of safety

    and violence

    without shouting

    in loud voices

    about outmoded

    rights and freedoms.

Is the NRA afraid to face

    the reality of today

    without their

    second amendment

    without their guns? –

    cowards

  • Tulips

    What Mattered

    What mattered/
    about last night/
    was that he touched/
    her neck/
    with care/
    felt deep in her bones/
    as he/
    gathered her/

    cheek in his hand/

    and kissed it/
    like he was/

    caressing/
    a freshly picked/
    peach
