I thought it would be only fair if I would share an example of a feeling card hand so here is what my hand looked like for yesterday. The yellow cards are happiness cards and I had a good deal of that yesterday. My daughter came home from her job and it is always good to see her. She looked good and seemed happy. Happy children usually mean happy parents. I got a nice long e-mail from a Xanga friend and that felt really good too. I had lunch with a friend who I hadn’t seen for a while and it was super to spend some time with her. . . . and to top off the day was a nice outdoor meal with my wife, Yvonne. There was sadness. The e-mail described an illness that could be pretty serious (therefore the fear card) and my friend at lunch is struggling with MS. I felt confusion when I talked to my son and he told me how he dislikes his new job. He thought it would be his dream job but he hates being behind a desk all day. I got angry at myself because I returned a DVD to the rental store and had a call from them the moment I got into the house that there was no DVD in the case! So, back to the store. My wild card is for the bit of satisfaction that I had for taking a 40 min. walk and mowing my front lawn. Hope you are not too bored with my day. I wanted to elaborate a bit on the idea of the card game that I described yesterday.

It sounds as though your life is very full!
Dear Vex,
My hand for today: 2 black, 3 brown, 1 allowable red (I seem to get ridiculously and manicly angry over little things, but never angry over the big stuff for some reason. I get very upset when my room-mate, Cancerboy, misplaces something, but I could probably go blind or lose an arm and treat that situation calmly and reasonably). 1 obligatory yellow, because no matter what happens I am happy to be alive and experiencing this existence, and can look at a beautiful bloom or a billowy cloud and get a good feeling. Lastly, a couple of blue, which has always been my favorite color.

You know what? There are a lot more colors with negatives on them! Seems a little unbalanced. Only one is positive- yellow.
I’d have 14 yellows: happy, lucky, safe, satisfied, calm, peaceful, loved, excited, pleased, delighted, enthusiastic, hopeful, & proud.
& 1/2 of one black: a little trepidation here & there.
You returned a DVD case with no DVD…sounds like something I would do. Your day sounds like a typical day, full of happiness and sadness. I agree with mezamashii, there should be more positive colors.
My son returned a DVD case with no DVD and didn’t know it until we got the bill for $57. He lives on the other side of Atlanta from us, but he hadn’t updated his address at the video store. When we called him, he checked and it was still in the player from where his friends had played it several weeks before. He managed to talk to the right person and got the fine waved when he returned the DVD.
Take ‘em all, i heard that in a song once.
i dont think its boring at all. I think that if one can see the bumpy bits an not forget the good parts of the day than it is a day gained an a day learned.
wonderful
I’m going to look into this card game of yours some more. Sounds quite interesting. Sounds like you had an overall good day!
