What a Glorious Non-irritating Thanksgiving Day

I wonder if this bud will bloom before we get a frost?
What a Glorious Non-irritating Day*
(While walking today I contemplated gratitude. I share my thinking with a short poem.)
Today he decided
he would be thankful
because it was
Thanksgiving Day
and because
the only thing
that had irritated him
before midday
was himself
for not
wearing a cap
with a bill
to keep the sun
out of his eyes
while taking his morning walk.

Today I took a picture of roses. My challenge was to smell everyone of them and to see which ones smelled nice. Yes I had time enough to smell the roses in life.
Besides the sun being in my eyes, I hate dirty car windows. Yes I clean my glasses a lot too. Sometimes it is a blessing to see some things blurry and a blessing to see them bright and colorful.
Yes today was a blessed day.
Thanks for the comment. I love roses and ours are still in bloom but Saturday night a hard frost is expected. @PPhilip -

A bit late, but to add to things to be thankful for...... are your beautiful photos and thought provoking lines.
I could have used this simplicity last week, for sure! Thank you for sharing and keeping things in the proper perspective.
