ours aren't looking like that yet here in Texas-give us another month.
Beautiful! Down here, the leaves just turn brown and fall off. We have to rake without the reward of beauty. That's a trick without a treat!
Its beautiful I like looking at the fall leaves too but hate to see them go so fast.
splendid

Lovely, Bill, the haiku and the photograph. Our leaves are just a memory now ((sigh)) . . .
Have you ever participated in a haiku/tanga chain? I used to play with some friend's years ago. I would LOVE to start one, even if it is just you and I playing - although it is much more fun when several people join in. Would could create a site specifically for it - or one of us could host it . . . just a thought.

@SandraErickson - ooh. haiku chain. this sounds intriguing. entertaining. delightful.
i was looking at oaks yesterday. i meant to research that. because some oaks have curvy leaves and some have pointy. i think.
splendid
This is beautiful, Bill -- I wish we had more trees like this, but ours just turn brown and withered in the late summer heat that is typical here!
I think this sounds like a good idea. I read your extensive reply about your story. Thinking about it and might have some more to say about it. I really liked it,
@SandraErickson -@vexations - @promisesunshine - see? already a party! What do you think, Bill?
@vexations - I look forward to this conversation.
I love this haiku
good grief; that's gorgeous! :)
Absolutely beautiful
Lovely. The words ring so true, too.
The maples were beautiful here, too, as well as the burning bushes, but the oaks just turned brown.
I am interested in this type of thing. According to the comment it looks like there may be others interested too. If you lead I will follow....@SandraErickson -
Our burning bush out front is getting a very deep, and bright red. How is the back? @symbolreader -
The back is getting better, I think. I haven't had much trouble with it lately.
((SIGH)) xanga won't let me create another site - so I started a blogring, thinking there would be some sort of message board - only there isn't so I don't understand what the point is...
Why don't you see if you can start another site - nothing fancy ((laughing)) just a name and a message board for us to play on, then invite me and I will spread the word. If that doesn't work, I will host it at my site and just keep timestamping the post so it is visable to everyone...once we get things set up, it will be fun.

Wow, what lovely colors on the tree. God's beauty at it's best.
