That is a great idea for November. I like the fact that Thanksgiving is a "gift-free" holiday.

I should think May would be a more appropriate gratitude month.  I know Thanksgiving happens in November but it really is the end of warmth and outside fun and the beginning of cabin fever..

I see by a past post that you too are a South Dakota boy. As I travel through life, I run across more and more of those like us. I left because I needed to support my family as I'm sure most of us did.

I would move back in a heartbeat, but I couldn't pry my wife out of Illinois with a crowbar now that our children and grandchildren are here.

Our pastor did a sermon including write your gratitudes down before you go to bed at night.

Yeah, the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving are my favorite, I think. I think of Halloween/All Saints Day being a time to be grateful for those who have taught us and gone before us, and that leads into the month that culminates in Thanksgiving... :) This looks like a beautiful spot, for sure!
